Dear Redbird Families,

We invite you to join us for one of our favorite traditions of the year: The Great Race! This event takes place on our final day of school, May 21st, and is a wonderful way to celebrate our students' hard work and Redbird spirit.

Event Details:

• Start Time: 9:00 AM.
• Location: The Track.
• The Race: This year, students will be competing in a 400m dash (one full lap of the track).

Spectator Information:

• Seating: Parents are welcome to sit at the top of any bleacher row or anywhere in the 5th set of bleachers (the section furthest from State Street). We ask that you keep the bottom rows clear for our students.
• Student Colors: Students will be wearing grade-level colors:
  • 2nd Grade: Yellow
  • 3rd Grade: Blue
  • 4th Grade: Red
  • 5th Grade: Black (Celebrating their final day/retirement from West!)

Reminders: Please stay clear of the track and the finish line area so Mr. Riney can safely start the races and Mr. Doering can announce our winners.
